SPEECH ASSESSMENT
Assessment of a person’s ability to accurately produce speech sounds in words and sentences.
Considers overall intelligibility (how well others’ can understand them).
Assessment of speech fluency (stuttering) may also be warranted.
LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT
Comprehensive assessment of oral language skills, including receptive (understanding of) and expressive (use of) spoken language.
Investigates several domains of language including vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and applied language skills.
Diagnostic assessment to evaluate the presence of a Language Disorder or Developmental Language Disorder.
We provide assessments for children, teenagers and adults.
LITERACY ASSESSMENT - Coming Soon
Evaluation of a student’s areas of strength and difficulty in literacy (e.g., phonics, reading, spelling, writing).
Targeted at children who are at the beginning stages of literacy learning or for older students who have literacy difficulties and require some measures to support with tutoring and intervention.
A diagnostic assessment to investigate the presence of a Specific Learning Disorder (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia) can be coordinated with a reputable Psychologist.

THERAPY SERVICES
1:1 therapy sessions can help children, teens and adults who require support with speech and language, as well as offering additional evidence-based interventions for reading, spelling or writing (literacy).
Therapy goals may focus on areas such as:
Oral Language - understanding and following instructions, answering questions, expressing thoughts clearly and using age-appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Written Language - structuring sentences and paragraphs, using correct grammar and punctation, organising ideas when writing, constructing narrative and persuasive texts.
Literacy (Reading, Spelling and Writing) - early literacy skills including phonological awareness, learning to decode (sound out) words, improve reading fluency, develop comprehension skills and build spelling strategies.
Articulation (Speech Sounds) - helping you or your child pronounce sounds correctly so they can be understood clearly by other people.
What makes us different?
Auspeech has a strong clinical interest in supporting people who have Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and other Language Disorders. We work closely with Psychologists’ to support students who have Specific Learning Disorders (such as Dyslexia or Dysgraphia).
Holly has pursued extensive additional training and programs in oral language and literacy programs to deepen her knowledge and refine her therapy approaches. She has a strong clinical focus in these areas and is committed to continually seek new professional development opportunities in these areas.

SPEECH PATHOLOGY IN SCHOOLS
School-Based Speech Pathology
We are proud to provide professional support within private and public schools in Perth, WA.
These partnerships allow for highly-skilled speech pathologists to be based on-site at school during school hours.
We are happy to provide consultations to parents and staff, offer 1:1 intervention for students, contribute to small-group supports, collaborate with teaching staff and to allow for assessment recommendations and therapy outcomes to carry over into the classroom environment.

Speech Pathology Screening
We offer high-quality speech, language and literacy screenings at schools for children in Kindergarten, Pre-Primary and Year 1.
These screenings are designed to identify difficulties in areas such as:Oral language (understanding and using spoken language)
Speech sounds (articulation and how well others’ can understand them)
Early literacy skills (sound awareness, letter knowledge, phonological awareness)
Fluency (stuttering)
Social communication skills
Each child receives an individual report with clear recommendations, and we offer follow-up consultation with both teachers and parents to support the student’s next steps.
